The Timpo Germans have a style different from the Allied forces. I think my favourite is the one with the mine in his hand because I have not seen another toy soldier with this (as distinct from mine layers). I also include in the photo two of the original Germans. They have lost the ends of the sub machine guns and one has had his boots painted. These first Germans were identical to the Americans except that they are in different colours. The Germans, minus their pot helmets, doubled, I my childhood games, as Confederates. I thought they had nice faces but looked strange with flesh coloured hair.
