Army Cerise War with Army Red White and Blue

In May, 1903 and an Amerigan ambassador has made an outrageous insult to the Ceresian Empress. Elmer Thood, at an official banquet for the emperor, not only became drunk on saki but he later climbed into the imperial bed chamber dressed in a kimono and riding boots. The empress was given to understand that the ambassador had some creative ideas about what mount he preferred to go with his boots. The emperor appeared and, with the help of his samurai sword, relieved Thood of his head. Understandably, none of these events boded well for future Amerigan-Ceresian relations.

Two months later the Cerisians launched a surprise attack on the far North Amerigan town of Pallin. Happily for the Amerigans their Northern fleet was in the vicinity and bested the enemy. I wanted a dynamite gun so here is one in progress, not an exact model one but an approximation. The barrel extension is part of a Biro but it could have been longer.

The MECHANICS

I wanted to set a fictitious encounter between my American and Japanese analogues fighting a few decades before they actually did. So in this parallel universe it is Ameriga. pronounced, Amerigo in Latin quarters, and Cerise. The rules are based on Paul Wright's Funny Little Wars. The two little armies are roughly equivalent with the following exceptions: One of the Amerigan guns is the experimental dynamite gun, very effective if it works. The Amerigans -Army Red White and Blue - are a little more flexible than their enemy. Also they are more unpredictable as the volunteer units, with the exception of the elite Rough Riders, Will be rolled for on shooting or melee to see what their caliber is -raw, elite or regular. The Cerisians, by contrast, are predictable, with two elite guard units, rapid movement and near suicidal bravery. Their cavalry are not so good, with charges problematical Both sides possess an artillery piece. The Amerigans. counts as heavy but may fail to fire. The Cerisians is a medium piece. Both sides have a machine gun, The Amerigans are less hampered in movement combined with firing of this

FIGURES

The figures are mostly Armies in Plastic with some Chris Ferree Japs and some Marx US infantry and some Britains Detail US Cavalry. There is a sprinkling of WW1 figures among the early period Marx figures. I''ll be adding more figures in the future.
