Simba!

The Simbas are a mas production and I just realized one Simba still hasn't had his legs painted so it looks like he has stockings on!
The scene represents a desperate situation as the captives seek safety of the mercenaries and government troops.

' Hurry up so we can shoot damn it!'

The Simba's brutality had no limits.
The horde of Simbas charged out of the forest, pursuing the Belgian civilians. The mercenaries and government troops tried to get a clear shot at the Simbas.

Last night I watched movie, The Dark Side of The Sun, which gave me some further ideas for the Simbas' appearance so I am going to add some white face paint to some although I don't know how authentic that is.

The film is based on a Wilbur Smith book which I read as a teenager in the 70s. It is a great yarn with plenty of action and captures the mood of the time. Naturally one of the mercenaries is depicted as an ultra bad guy and the other (Rod Taylor) as the good guy and there is a show down or two, one terminal for the - you guessed it.

Interestingly, the girl who the Taylor character rescues is the same actress he rescues in 'The Time machine'.
