Dark Clouds gather over Duseldorf but locals go about their business.

Greetings to new viewers from Bolivia.

The towns people of Duseldorf are going about their business. Only a few of them have an inkling of the coming invasion. Some have heard news of Hermany's Army Black conducting 'exercises' some sixty kilometres away but only a few individuals are aware that they are on the way to Duleldorf to counter an invasion by Crussia's Army Dark Green.

Some civilians who have access to such information have armed themselves with pistols, rifles and crude explosive devices but so far they have not betrayed their trust from certain government officials. The government does not want to cause panic or roads clogged with refugees. It is also hopeful that Army Dark Green does not cross the border, that Tzar Nickoff and his foreign minister, Andrew Andropoff are only sabre rattling. However, Kaiser Conrad has been doing some sabre rattling of his own lately, warning the Tzar to stay well clear of the Balkan nations of Transylvania, Borduria , Syldavia and Morovia. The Tzar has been supporting independence movements of those parts of these nations that are under Army White control.
Army White, of course, is the iron fist of the Stasburg Empire, which is a staunch ally of Hermany.

Meanwhile, in Duseldorf the local fire brigade practise a drill, others do their shopping and, just out of town, some locals visit the gypsy camp. A mixture of curiosity and disapproval motivates these locals. The children are keen to see the gypsy clown with his juggling, men are very interested in the very animated dance of the young gypsy ladies whilst a local school teacher and some of the prominent ladies of Duseldorf voice their disapproval of the shocking display of female legs and swaying hips. They suggest that this might not be the best place for their camp but the gypsies protest that they must fix their caravan's wheel.
