A South American Campaign

A year ago I umpired a game for my neighbours Matt and Ryan. The game was set up on two large tables and was inspired by Tintin and the Chaco War. I added foreign intervention by Serge's Borduria on the side of San Theodore and Syldavia on the side of Nuevo Rica.

The San Theodoran and Bordurians under Matt had to get a relief force to the San Theodorans in the disputed zone. The table for the relief force had jungle terrain, hostile peasants and Nuevo Rican Indians to contend with. The Nuevo Ricans also managed to send in their sappers to destroy railway track, so stopping the troop train. If that wasn't enough a Nuevo Rican plane crashed in to the train. The Bordurian plane was also shot down. Both sides employed suicidal close ranks and massed charges but Ryan's Nuevo Ricans, aided by Mexicans won, with the San Theodoran relief force delayed to an extent where its impact was limited.
