ACOTS 2013 was hosted by Dave Palmer at St Leonards, not far from Geelong Victoria. It is a lovely quiet little seaside town - until invaded by a horde of toy soldier collectors, well a dozen of us that is Members travelled from NSW and South Australia to join the Victorians. We've moved away from public halls in favour of the more relaxed domestic settings with the collector and wargaming 1/32 scale hard core, that is the toy soldiers are that scale, not the collectors.

The wargaming figures were all provided by David Palmer. It was great to see Timpo and Britains old plastics forming fabulous units. I had a handful of Timpo Revolutionary War when I was a child and loved them so I was excited seeing twenty man regiments of them.

The wargame rules included an activation rule for units which could add to the tension and the infuriation when crucial units refused to do what they were told. There was also a rill for 'Command dice' to enable the commanders to give crucial units extra chances to perform their duties.
