Pirates/Renaissance figures from China

 

These figures came with skeleton warriors in a plastic tube. I am doing a few more. My original intention was to use them as larger scale Warhammer Empire troops. I mounted them on plastic bases from a children's game. I pick up a lot of such bases from old children's games in opportunity shops and garage sales. I am painting them with a predominantly blue colour scheme. I am thinking of adding cod pieces and baggy sleeves to some. But leaving them as s they double as what they were intended - pirates. Another idea I have is to shorten the legs and use them as dwarfs.
