Sale Apocalypse Battle April 2014
Yesterday I participated in a grand scale Apocalypse game with very mixed forces on each side. I fielded my works with large ork and Gretchen mobs Spread out to minimize drop pod and deep strike units taking out our artillery and super heavy walkers and tanks. It was a little strange with my orks allied to Imperial Guard Space Marines an Grey Wolves fighting Imperial Guard , Space Marines an Tau.
My Ork Stompa manage to last two turns before the last of its twelve hull points went but we la managed to bring it back for a another round. My reserves were three battlewagons with death rollas and packed full of Ar Boyz, Nobs an Mega nobs as well as Gazkull, Grotsnik , a war boss and a warp boy. They steam rollered four enemy vehicles as the formation allowed them to come in behind enemy lines. In addition, our Grey Wolves came in behind the enemy to add to the chaos and final victory supported by a substantial airforce.
A nice touch was the Gretchin mobs defeating some depleted Terminator deep strikers.
