The siege of Castle Matherst

Today two armies of Beerstein attaced the Bogavanian Castle Matherst. Careful planning limited casualties for the attackers as they concentrated their attack on one wall. The biggest reverses were the treachery of a unit of Hill Men who marched off the board and another which has secretly marched to join the Bogavanians. Despite this and the setting alight of a siege tower by fire arrows the Beersteiners have managers to capture one wall by using scaling ladders and the remaining siege tower. The Hill men have hurtled into the defending bogavanian archers and the Beersteiner knights have climbed down to the courtyard to battle Bogavanian knights. Other knights have assaulted another wall and are beginning to make headway.

More reports and photos will follow. Unfortunately my camera ran out of charge and these photos were taken with Matt's I-phone.

The following photos were taken with my camera, now charged, and are at the end of eight moves where we finished the game. They show one of the siege towers alight and the Beersteiners have taken a wall and are climbing into the courtyard to battle the Bogavanian knights.
