The Battle To Re-take Jamesrick castle, Day Two.

As dawn arrives at Jamesrick Castle it is clear that the Beersteiners have a firm foot hold on the South wall and in the main tower. However, the Bogavanian king is surrounded by his best warriors and re-taking the castle will not be easy. Failure to take the castle back will mark the end of Beerstein. Success will lead to a negotiated peace with Bogavanaia  and possibly even with some Bogavanian land still in its possession.

BELOW:
The Great Swords jump from the siege tower but as they raise their mighty swords the Bogavanian halberd knights gut a number of them. Finally the Great Swords gain a foothold on the Western wall.
Bogavanian halberd knights enter the tower and cut through the Beersteiner men-at-arms who have entered there secretly from a hidden tunnel. Some of the Bogavanians are killed from  Beersteiner handgunner and bow shooting from the tower. The halberd men try to climb to the next level and are met by the freed former commander of the castle and a Beersteiner hero. Although they lack their armor they have borrowed swords with which they cut down the enemy knights.
Beersteiner knights continue to climb over the South-West wall and drive the Mongols and Hillmen back until all are dead.
Beersteiners from The Pursuit prepare to cross the river to join the Beersteiner catapults from The Pursuit also cross the shallow part of the river, although progress was slow due to the dark and the water.
Bogavanian catapults try to gain vantage for shooting at the Beersteiner siege weapons.
The castle gate is opened on the Eastern wall
                                           and the Bogavanians pour in.

The Bogavanian forces are so depleted that Prince Rylan brother to King Welon Maxfield surrenders. A handful of catapult crew and a few Hillmen archers escape. A larger force of Bogavanian Hillmen driven from the field on the previous day have not returned.

Jaxon lennoc, oldest son of Karl Lennoc, has been victorious in his re-capture of the Beersteiner capital. Next the terms of peace must be negotiated. The onset of Winter is rendering further campaigning unlikely for the next few months. It is a respite for the Bogavanians who have few forces left. Will Jaxon attempt to negotiate the return of his father or will he simply assume the mantle as the new king?
