Guard Casualty Conversion from Cowboy
Old hollowcast toy soldiers always look not only steadfast but impervious to death. There, are, it is true, some brave wounded but a lack of those in process of being shot.
Anyway, here is my conversion from a Hong Kong cowboy. (Plastic cowboys are more prone to being shot). I painted him in the same style as the old metal figures that you can see here.
I used putty for the bottom of tunic and cartridge boxes etc. I may yet spatter him with some Games Workshop 'blood colored' paint 'Blood Gore'.
Note on other figures: Most are repainted hollowcast Britains or home castings. Three of them are plastic. Guess which ones and where they come from.
Back row first three are plastic? No idea of Maker.
ReplyDeleteNice work! I think the three on the left of the wounded guy are the plastics, the first one looks like he was a Lone Star guardsman, the other two look like the were ACTA Confederates?
ReplyDeleteYou almost have it. The ones with slightly bent legs are conversions from call to arms Zulu War British with putty for bear skins,
