Wargame rules suggestions.

I'm looking for some wargame rules for some very specific situations: 1/ War elephants versus pikes, 2/ flame throwers versus tanks, and 3/ to what extent can run of the mill infantry harm tanks if they get into close proximity? If anyone has some ideas I'd be interested to hear them.

  2. Thanks Brian. I accidentally deleted your comment. You said there was a tactic of waiting for tanks to cross over a trench and then for the infantry to use fire against enemy infantry whilst others attacked the tank with grenades. I'm curious as to the effectiveness of grenades against tanks, especially more heavily armoured ones or if there was an attempt to put grenades in hatches etc.

  3. Hi James, my comment was based on first hand accounts I've been reading about the battle of Kursk, I understand that they attacked from behind because that was where the ventilation grills for the engines were, any flame there would set the engines on fire, Molotov cocktails were very effective for this. They also used hollow charge grenades and sticky bombs to attack the turret but I haven't come across any accounts of grenades being put in hatches, doesn't mean it didn't happen though.
