Relief Of Fort Trudeau Or The End Of The Battle Of The Temple And The Fort

  Today the Battle Ended with a suspenseful assault on the walls of the fort. The brave Zoohoos, despite horrific casualties from bullets and bayonets from the elite Legionnaires, gained a purchase on the battlement of the front wall.

The Gypo tribe attempts to scale the Eastern wall. (I didn't locate my ladders so straws from a broom were used).

                                                          The machine gun spits death.

                                         Tye North wall is penetrated by intrepid Zoohoos.

                                      A Zoohoo axe man makes havoc on the Western wall.

                                            The Legionnaires reinforce from the rear wall.

                        The cannon in the court yard prepared to fire on the battlement but didn't see action for fear of killing their own men.

                           The relief column arrives and lancers run down fleeing Zoohoos.

                                            Leionnaires left outside return from a safe position and shoot down Zoohoos climbing the walls.

          After doing much damage to the Legionnaires a Zoohoo gun finally misfires and blows up

                                          The relief column cannon has all of its crew killed.

Conclusion:

The Zoohoos suffered terribly, losing well over half their tribesmen. The temple to the Moon God was machine gunned and volley fired at from Legionnaires in the relief force. The defenders (including a Fezian armoured guard unit) were wiped out.

The Zoohoos had finally scaled the fort's walls but the relief column arrived and its combined fire power with the remaining fort defenders (they too had lost many men) caused the few remaining Zoohoos to retreat.

The Zoohoos had destroyed two units of Legionnaires and two cannons and crews. They still retained the consuls as prisoners. However  the Blusians had destroyed the majority of the Zoohoo army - three units survived out of 17. And the Temple of the Moon God was captured.

The Blusians would use their victory to pressure for the return of their consuls.
