Ozzzralite And Dark Elf Forces Prepare For Battle.

It has taken a while but Dark Elf forces have been largely completed. However, as usual, I cheated a little, with my Patran cavalry (ancient Greeks) serving as Dark Elves and plate armored knights with halberds serving as Dark Elf guard.

I have placed the forces that will appear at the start of next Wednesday's battle. Half of each side's forces are in reserve to appear randomly. The Ozzz forces include the Wizard's largely Munchkin army and a witch led Winkie army. In reserve are other bad and good forces and the Wizard's hot air balloon.

The Dark Elves have some nasty surprises in reserve. On the other hand the Ozzzralite forces have four cannons in total and their muskets nullify most armor saves. They also have four wizards and witches and the Dark Elves have two sorceresses.

The Dark Elves are very nasty in close combat although the Ozzzraites do have a giant. The Dark Elves also have four units of longbows.

The rules are more close to the usual Games Workshop Warhammer ones so we will mostly use six sided dice instead of our usual 12 sided and we will be rolling to hit, wound and save instead of one roll of a d12 per figure. The reason I have switched for this game is to give the Dark Elves their full capacity, which I'll explain in a later post.

Medusa and Wyches

                                                                Dark Elf long bows
Wyches with Hag on extreme right front.
                                                               Dark Elf chariot
Knights pretending to be Dark Elf guard
Sorceress waiting to fill her caldron with blood
Dark Elf cavalry (actually Patrans or ancient Greeks)

Winkie light infantry Rifles and giant

                                                           The Wizard's Munchkins

Chloe, the cat, assures the Munckins that she is neutral and will not eat them.

I wonder which side mat will pick.
