Conclusion Of Father Daughter Game

I left the game set up for a few weeks but my daughter never got around to finishing the game so Mat took over her Beerstein forces.

Mat and I both played cautiously. When his Beerstein musketeers advanced out of forest to close into range with Bogavanian and Fezian marketmen the latter got in first shots and proved spectacularly accurate. The Beersteiners sustained so many casualties that they retreated.

The Beersteiners who advanced across the bridge had mixed results. The heavy infantry was wiped out but so were the enemy they had engaged the musketeers there moved up on to a hill. They caused a few shooting casualties and when they were charged by Fezian light infantry the latter were mauled and driven back.

Given the victory conditions of table quarters the game was, on move thirteen, declared a draw.

Beersteiners have occupied the hill.

A strong Beersteiner position on the road:
Musketeer faceoff: Beersteiners at left and Bogavanians and Fezians ar right; the latter prevailed.
Beersteiner hero advances on a Fezian survivor of his regiment

Failed Fezian tribal attack on the Beersteiners.
It took two moves to kill him.
