 In the end I came up with my own camouflage scheme. I gave the whole thing a black ink wash and then a light sand dry brush and a little bare metal dry brushing.

   I am happy with the crew man, but I need to tidy up the face as the upper lip continues to the nose!

                                 That little hollow projection at the back could be a flag holder.
