Doctor Who And Unit Versus The Daleks And Davros

Today Mat and I played a Dalek game. I took the Dalek side. I wrote down some rules loosely based on Warhammer and Warhammer 40K rules. The Dalek stats were something similar to 40K Terminators or Necrons.

However, I did base them on the earlier Daleks that could not climb steps! However, they had strength 6 blasters which next time I am going to upgrade to be strength 7 and to have two instead of one shot with an option of assault rifle type weapon and stats.

The Doctor had some special skills. he and his assistant could 'Evade' and move 60cm in any direction, into cover if the necessary dice number was rolled. he and assistant also had the ability to deploy in cover anywhere at least 30cm from the Daleks. In addition, his sonic screwdriver could disable electronic devices, for a random time period, including Dalek carapaces and to open locked doors.
His assistant could blind a Dalek with her coat thrown over an eyestalk if she was next to the Dalek.

Davros had a trick up his sleeve, which was the Reality Bomb. He could try to launch this from turn 4. The Doctor could counteract it.

BELOW: The reality Bomb with its ability to paralyze all lifeforms within a wide radius and to cause a chemical reaction in machines.

The Doctor was the 3d one so could not use his Tardis except for refuge.
Unit troops and the Doc's assistant move through a forest.

Daleks move around a fallen tree.
Unit troops took down a number of Daleks despite their toughness and 2+ save. The bazookas also reduced Dalek saves to 6. next game we make this invulnerable save 5-6.
Dalek weapons reduced Unit hard cover saves to soft cover.
Showdown between Daleks and tank with twin linked cannon and machinegun. The tank killed a large number of Daleks with its radius shell blast.
Dalek shooting was pitiful but tow Daleks charged the troops and killed many before the Daleks were disabled. Sarah unsuccessfully tried to blind a dalek with her coat.
The soldiers eventually found some chinks in the Dalek armor.

The soldiers awake from their paralysis in which Davros and Daleks unsportingly disintegrated a number.

The success of the reality Bomb stunned over half the UNIT force and even the Doctor who was lurking in a tree. he fell from the branches and survived the fall but was, luckily for him, not discovered.
Davros is suddenly very alone but he escapes to fight another day!

The most devastating weapon on the Earthling side was the tank which took down about six Daleks. The strongest dalek weapon was the reality Bomb which UNIT and the Doc failed to disable. That earned 10 points. Each side killed around ten or eleven enemy. If Davros was caught or killed that would have been ten points to UNIT.

The Doctor never got to use his special abilities (as the reality Bomb paralyzed him!) The reality Bomb also took out the tank.

The battle was declared a Dalek victory although few Daleks were left.
