Converting Copies of Crescent US Cavalry To Other Periods For My Fantasy Nation
I always liked Crescent figures so when I obtained some Philippines copies my mind started its cogs spinning.
BELOW:
The US Cavalry flag bearer is now an 18th century British type who will be a Beersteiner flag bearer. The paper flag is still to be added.
The revolver was replaced with a sharpened split pin which also provided the sword scabbard.
Undercoat
Green Stuff
Belts from paper tape
Floral wire flag staffs. Left: 18th century, middle is 19th century and last is 20th century with beret. Whilst the first was painted as equivalent to British later 18th century, the middle one will have the look of Italian War of Unification and the last will look a little like a British commando but possibly painted in a grey uniform.
The figures will represent Beerstein at various times in its development, that is assuming it does not get wiped out by the coming attack of the Undead. presently Beerstein is at an 18th century level but holds on to earlier styles and types of troops as well.
The bolt trays at the rear are numbered to correspond to hexes on the Beerstein map. These are used for the hidden movement of armies.
