The Army Lists For The First Battle Between Aztecia & Fezia & More On The Battle
BELOW: Casualties among characters
The Aztec sorcerer is in typically garish attire. Guatemoc transformed himself into a feral manticore and felled the enemy commander and a hero before he himself fell unconscious.
Fezian General Hazig Rabb
FIGURES
The mounted figure is a Reamsa Saracen/Turk. The two on foot are made from copies of Britains Detail Saracens. The sorcerer is made from a currently produced cheapo American Indian with small dinosaur head for a mask/helmet.

HIGHLIGHTS
The Aztecs sustained high casualties on their bowmen and elite troops. Most casualties came from the enemy wizard's magic missiles and the initiative gained by charging Fezian lights and Hillmen. The Genie also killed scores in close combat and his magic killed the carnosaur. However cumulative casualties for the Hillmen were high. The Fezians sustained high casualties among characters. These were inflicted by the carnosaur and the wizard who transformed into a feral manticore. The carnosaur also wiped out two Fezian units of lights, aided by the hero riding it.
The stegadon drove, off the field, large numbers of Fezian infantry.
CHANCE EVENTS
We rolled for a chance event out of 100 possibilities, and it was 'Angel appears in sky'. To fit the nature of the army I changed this to 'goddess appears in sky'. The dice roll decided that it was a favorable appearance to the Aztecs, which diminished Fezian leadership.
Weather:
The weather was fine but towards the end of the battle a fog appeared. (We roll for that every few moves) As the Aztecs were slowly withdrawing from the field this was a 'godsend' as, although it lessened movement, it also reduced missile range to short range. The Fezians were advancing with missile troops and had a potentially deadly line of archers and bow men.
CONCLUSION
The caution of the Aztec general was definitely the undoing of the Aztecs. All the initial advantages of flank placement and superior battlefield Intelligence were lost.
However, there other Aztec armies that might well lend assistance as the Aztecs withdraw to the South.
