Up to my usual heterodox tricks, here are a few. First pics show a Paragon US Cavalryman. I regard the Paragon heads as a tad undersized, but this one was ok. His pistol was broken off, so I drilled out the hand and added a filed down split-pin half. I also cut the hilt off the scabbard.
The left-hand figure is a resin copy I made of a metal Penguin figure.
The right-hand figure is The Penguin with a Historex head and putty hat. He will be a Bogavanian officer. The figure at left is guardsman drummer boy, Charbens, I think; it snapped at the ankles and I re-glued them. The blue alien in the background had similar issues when it fell on the floor and was stood on!
A couple of the cheapo Indians had primitive firearms that look like matchlocks. The Chinese in the Boxer rebellion had a varied supply of weapons with bows and also firearms from jezails, matchlocks, flintlocks and breach loaders. So. these Indians are in the process of being turned into Boxers.
