War of the Worlds

 

It doesn't look so tough without its tripod. This is a resin figure of a Martian I bought from Nick of Eureka Miniatures. The standing guardsmen are converted from plastic Call to Arms colonial Brits. The kneeling firing figures are plastic Herald guardsmen with enlarged busbies and metal rod altered firearms. The busbies were all made from putty.

 

The Martian goes with a 28mm range but looks fine at this scale of 54mm. There is also a large tripod which I am yet to assemble.
