Freikorps Werdenfels

            I recently bought some cheap copies of Matchbox 8th Army and converted one into the Freeikorps Werfenfels. The illustration I referred to came from the Osprey book The German Freikorps 1918-23 by Jurado and Bujeiro. This particular unit was in civilian clothes, unlike most that were in mostly uniform. The lederhosen is worn and an arm band in Bavarian colours.

The Matchbox figure has the right length shorts and just needs equipment removed and magazine removed from the rifle. If I make any more I shall use the original Matchbox or Airfix with shorts lengthened with putty as the copies are a little small.
