Airfix Spaceman To Ancient Warrior

This is one of my favorite figures. He is of the Airfix Space Wariors set which has a definite retro flavor, similar to Buck  Rogers and Flash Gordon. It is obvious that he looks a lot like an ancient Greek, even Alexander the Great; de[ctions of that leader have a striking resemblance to this figure! He is going to be a captain for my Beersteiner militia as I use both ancient and medieval types in my fictional countries of Beerstein and Bogavania. The changes to the figure were to trim the collar to look like part of the cloak and to add sword, shield and scabbard made from a second sword. The shield is a tiddlywink and the swords were spare plastic ones, possibly DSG.
