                                   The Bogavanian knight hero, Zdroik leads an assault across the river but is defeated by the mercenary axemen who also take the survivors and Zdroik prisoner.

      Bogavanians prepare to assault again but the fall of darkness leads to a halt to hostilities.

The Bogavanians have failed to drive the Beersteiners out of Hex 102 but have succeeded in gaining control of the bulk of the hex and the village.

In the East Long Shanks has been acquiring Bogavanian territory as his large army ravages the countryside. At this stage the campaign season ends and the two countries prepare for Winter.

Villagers in six Beersteiner hexes and three Bogavanian villages train with longbows and build pallisades around their villages.
