Repairs Of Old Plastic US Cavalry And Infantry Under Way

The swords and sword scabbards were made from flattened wire (steel or brass) which was first curved and later lightly ground on a grinding wheel. The carbines and musket remnants were cut flat, holes drilled and lengths of wire cut to the length of the original were inserted.

Here a broken Cherilea 60mm cavalryman is compared to an unbroken one.
Below: Some Green Stuff has been added and will be sanded down when hard.
The Indian has not only had the rifle fixed but loin cloths added. The Cherilea Confederate has had the musket repaired and a nose added to the face.
This cresent officer was also given a Timpo pistol as the one he had looked like it might have lost the tip or else it just looked too short.
This Confederate had suffered a horrible war injury with his face horribly disfigured. To add insult to injury he had a terrible congenital leg disfigurement as the right thigh was longer than the other. I still decided to operate, although I as also tempted to cut up and reassemble the leg! But some things are beyond the surgeon! GW Liquid green Stuff was used for the nose.
