The zombies failed to get into battle.
A skeleton regiment guards an objective.
Mushtor positions himself on a rock and casts the 'Curse of years' spell on the Chaos Lord. As it happened, it was unnecessary as weakened by lost wounds in battle he had succumbed to the skeleton hordes.
MAGIC
We used the Warhammer system for magic. It is a lot to take in at first but works well. Basically you roll two D6 each magic phase for your magic pool; the total is how many you have to try to cast a spell. You also roll for each wizard and get an addition dice roll for each six rolled. Your highest dice roll is how many dispel dice you have;when your opponent rolls a dice you can use the dispel dice to try to roll higher to disrupt his spell.
There are different lores of spells and spells have different casting numbers. Chaos used Lore of Death and I used The 'Lore of Vampires'. My favourite spell was 'Curse of years' and I used it three times in the game. It is cast on a 12 or more. If it goes off against a unit every figure in it has a dice roll made with 6s meaning a wound had been lost. it is an ongoing spell if not dispelled. So the following move members of the regiment are wounded on a 5+. The following it will be a four and then a three+, followed by 2+.
OUTCOME
We used the same victory conditions as the last game - two objectives worth 5 points each and one victory point for each enemy unit destroyed or vanquished. At the end of the game the Undead owned both objectives and had done at least twice the unit damage to the Chaos forces. Both the Chaos lord and sorcerer were dead also.
