Marble Shooting Mortar

This plastic gun was part of a game called 'Pow'. There was a card board with card castle wall on one side. Card blue and red card bear skin hatted guardsmen in plastic bases did whatever the spinning order arrow said. Advance or whatever or there was an option to shoot the mortar over the wall (not the Games Workshop one shown here) to knock over the enemy. As a small boy I loved this game but don't have the whole thing anymore.

The cannon still fires and is short ranged too up to a couple of feet. After all it was meant to just go over the card castle wall and land on the other side.

Apparently there was also a pillow throwing version for the girls! (I'm sure 'the more intelligent sort' would also like to fire mortars at toy soldiers even in those gender specific days.
