Toy Maxwell Car
I bought a 1/32 plastic toy car at a Melbourne bazaar. It has Maxwell imprinted on the boot/trunk but no brand name. I also found some pictures of the real thing. I knew nothing about Maxwell cars before and thought it the brand of the toy. These photos of the real cars date the model as 1909 but there were also some from 1908.
I'll most likely give it a steering wheel and a paint job to use the car to transport a general, possibly a Mexican.
If anyone knows anything about the actual toy (which i assume is from the 1960s I'd be interested to know.

I could definitely see Pancho Villa being escorted about on this. Great photos by the way. I enjoy checking out your page. Your creativity and intuation are truly inspiring. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alan. I aim to please!
DeleteMy first thought was a Mexican general could use it. I wonder if pancho used a car or rode horseback?
