Home Castings Of Cherilea Household Guard Conversions
Years ago I borrowed a rubber mould from a friend and cast a pile of Cherilea Household Guardsmen.
Below: foot heavy cavalryman with arms bent upwards to hold horses or to man a Gatling gun! (That's an AIP Gatling).
These heavy cavalry really are heavy! They will be French cavalry and one painted is shown. The cavalry depicted are from later 19th century. The trousers were fairly baggy and had false boots.
The main changes are new sword from flattened wire as the original did not come out properly, slightly changing the shape of the helmet but most is hidden by the plume anyway) padding out the trousers, adding epaulettes, disguising the gloves (although presumably these could also be left) and adding a carbine. I might decide to add blanket rolls.
