Have Cowboy And Indian, Add Turbans
Cheap plastic cowboys and Indians are so ubiquitous I decided long ago to make use of them for figures other than Wild West.
These figures are altered to represent Middle Eastern or Indian (sub continent) models.
The Indian at left has had an added turban and some putty pads out a tunic. The Red Indian, a copy of Airfix, at right has more putty to represent robes. The middle figure is made from a copy of an Airfix cowboy. I could use him as a mameluke, irregular or a Turkish regular from the 1870s. The central figure will have a sword and the right hand figure a spear.
