Random Army Generation - Patra Versus Fezia

In a week's time I'll be setting up a game for mat and I which will feature imaginations Fezia and Patra.

Fezia is intended as a Trurkish-Persian type empire with a foot in ancient times and a foot in the Renaissance. Patra is intended as an ancient civilisation struggling to obtain the gun powder weaponry but with a few tricks of its own.

This is how I determined the army compositions.

Units are 20 to 24 figures infantry and 12 to 14 cavalry. A general and bodyguard is automatically with each army.

The possible numbers reflect what I want the army to look like and also what I have available.
Tomorrow I'll add the Fezian army which is somewhat different. I found it exciting to allow chance to decide the armies content. It will be intersting to determine the strengths and weaknesses of each army. s usual, I'll let Mat decide which army he wants although he most likely will choose the fezians as that is the country he wil represent in our campaign. (This game is a stand alone one separate from the campaign but representing two of the countries).

I'd be interested to know which army my readers would pick. The Fezians are strong in cavalry and mobility and some troops have heavier plate armour.. They have also more missile troops when the horse archers are included. The Patrans have more heavy support. The artillery, by the way, shoots only every second turn. I might have actually shooting of dice etc from the catapults. I am thinking  a catapult hit kills automatically one plus D3.  The ballista kills whatever is covered by a large arrow shape (half a pencil/) after a die is rolled for a hit. The Patrans have a lot of heavy troops with cuirass, helmet and shield or equivalent and less light infantry but a lot of light foot archers. Both sides have equal numbers of elite troops.

    I'll think Fezians will have an advantage in their mobility.
