Monarch Conquistadors
I found, in my stuff. some unpainted repro Monarch conquistadors I aim to paint for Wednesday's coming game.
One of them had a deformed halberd so I replaced the shaft with copper wire.
The matchlock men had a wedge of plastic between body and gun so I drilled this and cut it out - slightly time consuming.
Hmm, looking good - what other steps will you take to prepare the figures?
ReplyDeleteThey have been primed with clear car plastic primer, then Games Workshop spray, Chaos Black. They have been painted with acrylics and over-coated with a thin coat of PVA with a drop of dish-washing liquid followed by a spray of clear Crystal coat artist spray. Then flat acrylic varnish has been painted on areas I wanted near absolute flat, like cloth. Bases are cut from heavy card ring binder folders which have PVA and sand added and then painted sand colour dry brushed with lighter sandcolour. Some still need bases. They participated in today's battle.
