I received the Herald officer second hand quite a while ago. He had been repainted with a dark blue coat which I later repainted grey. He was missing sword scabbard and pistol that had broken off.
The pistol was rebuilt with wire and putty. The sword and scabbard were replaced with DSG sabres.
He has a new home now leading one of my Confederate Texan units.
