Peasant Rebellion In Beerstein

Although the peasants in the village of Lucivick had been under Beersteiner control for one hundred years and although the army there was overwhelming they rebelled. They rebelled in the night. Soldiers drinks were spiked or poisoned and throats cut. Twelve soldiers were killed. The peasants had had enough of the crippling taxation and then the demands of an army waiting to either meet an invading Bogavanian force from its nearby capital or to launch a siege.

The peasants casualties were surprisingly light but they still had an army to face so they fled, fled to the Bogavanian capital and managed to reach the castle without the Bogavanian troops shooting them down as suspected infiltrators.
