Borduria Invades Syldavia Part 3 The Ground War

Bordurian general

Bordurian troops swarm over the downed Syldavian fighter and shoot the plucky fighter.

Bordurian machine guns. The operators still wear older dark blue uniforms.

Bordurian Black Guard, actually a separate organisation to the army and sworn direct loyalty to the leader

The Foreign Volunteers, in this case members of the Redian Black Shorts

The troop numbers were similar on both sides with a short ranged and close combat advantage to the Bordurians. As it happened there were no fire fights or melees between infantry forces as the battlefield was owned by the armour. The infantry spent most of their time avoiding being shelled or machinegunned. The exception was towards the end of the game a force of my Bordurian forces (mostly the Foreign Volunteers - made up mostly of the Redian Black Shorts - advanced into the Syldavian's right flank; they did so by following the advance of two tankettes. However the tankettes were taking care of the enemy infantry all by themselves and the game ended before the Black Shorts could fire their sub machine guns. Mat and I are going to play another game but there are going to be Molotov cocktails and more anti-tank rifles and maybe fewer tanks.

I'll be working on some conversions between now and the next game, probably later next week.
