Molotov Cocktail Throwers And Anti Tank Rifle Conversions
Molotov Cocktails, bottles filled with petrol with a petrol soaked rag were volatile weapons. The timing had to be right and thrower had to get close to his target. If the wielder was shot then he and anyone close would burn.
However, the advantages were that it was a cheap weapon, easily made and if it could hit the right part of a vehicle, including tanks then it could penetrate the interior with lethal results for those inside. Earlier model tanks were more vulnerable.
Below are my conversions:
Hing Fat WW2 French, the one at left also with Airfix German head, The guns are French light machine guns that look similar to Bren guns with the magazine slightly cut down. Bren guns resemble some of the anti-tank rifles of the interwar period so that is what they will be used for.
Molotov Cocktail throwers. Left to right, TSSD Russians, 1 without conversion, 2-3 with Aifix (or copy) head and Lone Star Africa Corps head and 4 Matchbox German with TSSD arm.
Today's undercoating, which included the above figures which I painted in the same day.
