Logistics Rules For My Fantasy Campaign
I wanted a system which made resupply important but not so intricate as to be overwhelming. I was not going to distinguish between arrows, bolts and gunpowder or oats and beer, let alone different sized cannon balls.
The even more simple solution would be to say if the enemy crossed one's supply lines an army had to retreat. Somehow that wasn't enough. After all armies can take supplies with them. So here is my system. An efficient record keeping system is needed but it need not be too complicated - just mark off with a horizontal line through the vertical lines (like how we see convicts keep time on the wall) as credits are consumed. (You can call these credits anything you like but i just call them that).
Tony Bath's campaign rules and Hacket's Fantasy Wargames are both influences on these rules.
