The Beersteiner cannons arrived too late to greatly influence the battle, although some brick work was dislodged from the West wall, removing a structure point. A few Hillmen mercenaries were also killed but more were dispatched by the Beersteiner longbows.
BELOW
Mercenary light cavalry in Beersteiner employ sneak around the Eastern wall, followed by the Lobsters who were shown earlier dismounting
Beersteiners
Flank attack on Bogavanian knights
Bogavanian crossbowmen strangely wearing Beersteiner livery, with nothing to shoot at on the Southern wall move to the Eastern wall to shoot at the enemy forces edging around. They are fired at by the dismounted Lobsters and lose some men.
CONCLUSION
Beerstein besiegers had a slightly larger army than the Bogavanians but have more ranged weapons The Bogavanians have very good close combat forces but so far have not been able to employ enough of them.
The Bogavanian tactic was to keep Beersteiners away from the castle door, however, their counter advance ran into combined and concentrated Beersteiner response.
The knights versus knights battle was finished when the Beersteiner pike entered the battle and finished off the Bogavanians.
The wizard's spells were generally dispelled. Beersteiner troops mainly stayed out of range of the crossbows in the castle.
At the conclusion of the battle Beerstein had established positions in the enemy village at the South East and had advanced the whole army towards the castle.
The Great Swords had, prior to battle, constructed a battering ram and a bridge to place across the moat.
Next battle, in this hex, each sides troops can be repositioned anywhere in the controlled areas.
