Battle For The Bogavanian Capital Part 2 & The Fate Of Prince Vucic

The heroic Bogavanian hero, Moldoff lay scorched on the ground. His exploits had weakened the dragon but, in the end, the creature had triumphed. yet, Moldoff was strong and the light of life had not blown out. The Beersteiners took him into their care for he could be of use.

Below: White Beard as the Mountain Dragon flames Prince Vucic. The prince, having spearheaded a rapid assault from the East, suddenly found himself alone. He and his heavy cavalry and Heavy infantry (many of the latter copying the style of Patran hoplites) had managed to decimate the Beersteiner longbows and to wipe out a cannon crew but now all his cavalry were dead and the heavy infantry were about to retreat. The sweet perfume of cooked human flesh permeated the air. Then the foul creature turned his head and let lose yet another scorching flame. His horse fell dead and Vucic lay on the ground with blackened face. There were no signs of life. His armor had saved him from the worst of the flame but still, the heated armor had also burnt his skin. Soon, the Beersteiners would recover his body, only to discover flickers of life. Here was a valuable hostage.
Vucic had swung his sword, killing a number of Beersteiner bowmen.
Beersteiner pike push forward, finally assaulting the enemy horse archer mercenaries. The latter had paused to shoot at them but did not skedaddle. The pike wiped them out.

Two lone bowmen, all that were left of a Bogavanian unit, continue to take potshots at the Beersteiners below.

SURVIVORS - added to the previous post army list

The Beersteiners managed to push back the twin assault on their forces. They were aided in this by their artillery but lost one cannon crew to the Bogavanian assault over the river.
Casualties were high on both sides but higher on the Bogavanian side. However, the beersteiner force was too small to launch an assault on the castle.
