Photos Of The Siege of Byana H 70

The Western wall is fired on by the initial besieging Beersteiner force.

Sylvia the serpent, transformed into a dragon, storms into the castle courtyard.
The Western front. Beersteiner heavy cavalry look for a river crossing.

Fezian archers find their target out of range.
Fezian and Bogavanian supply wagons barricade the door so no-one can get in - or out!

Bogavanian pike with Fezian mounted commander and Bogavanian hero, looking vulnerable after their melee victory.

Fezian halberds don't know which way to face .

The last of the Beersteiner mounted knights is about to die.
Halberd men make the wrong choice and musket men retreat to the castle but will be unable to enter.
Beersteiner pike charge forward, buoyed by their bagpiper.
The Southern side of the battle

The Lobsters sneak around the flank.

See the previous post for a fuller account of the battle. The role of artillery was somewhat limited as the Beersteiners' new cannons came on from reserve. All artillery fires only every second turn.

Next battle: Return to H50, The Hounding. After that will be the siege of the Bogavanian capital. When those battles are finished we move on to map move 10. The campaign might end on map move 12 but we will roll the dice to see what happens.
