The Siege For The Bogavanian Capital Continued
The siege continues:
BI = battlefield Intelligence (likelihood of getting first move and making enemy set up first) LD = Leadership or ability to inspire troops and to rally the army, Caution = the likelihood of slow and measured actions. Ideally a mid-range figure is usually best. if it is at the extremes then dice rolls are used to determine if the leader can act against type. a very bold leader might even insist on leading a charge. LIVES = how many times a character can be 'slain' If he has lives left he is unconscious but if he is in enemy land, he is usually captured.

Bogavanian cavalry (heavy cavalry and light mounted mercenary archers)
The Beersteiner musketeers and cannons repelled an attack by Bogavanian pike, mercenary Hillmen heavy infantry and light Ebons. Bogavanian losses were high. Then the wizard transformed himself into a mountain Dragon (yet again) and attacked the Bogavanian archers. He flamed them and they shot their arrows, but most bounced off his scales. Nevertheless, his eight available wounds were reduced to five, which also reduced his attacks when he assaulted the archers. The archers then fled back across the river. He followed the terror-stricken men and chomped on them. The remnants managed to flee to the castle just as dark fell.
Mat ponders the enemy gun line. The attack by Mat's forces largely prevented my artillery from targeting the walls.
GENERAL NOTES
A prisoner exchange occurred at the start of the battle but the captives were still too badly wounded to partake in the battle. Next battle they can partake.
All leaders on both sides were impetuous. Dice rolls were made to see if they could fight against character. The Beersteiners managed to get rolls that enabled them to be cautious but not so Bogavanian King Mathias. Nevertheless, there was some method in mat's suicidal charge against musket and cannon line. This distracted my forces from targeting the castle. So far, though, Beersteiner forces have been lacking in good assault troops. This might or might not change. Thursday, we do our hidden map moves for map move ten. We already know that this siege will continue. My commander is stubborn and continues the siege, although there was a small chance he would withdraw if the dice roll for this prevailed. there might or might not be reinforcements for both or either side.
