9th US Cavalry

 I intend to eventually make a unit of 12 US 9th cavalry circa 1900. This figure was a Mountie now painted as a Colored cavalry member. (The 9th and 10th cavalry were colored regiments with white officers). The horse is BMC. They will be part of my 'Amerigan' army, Army red, White and Blue.

In the Spanish American War the US cavalry left their mounts behind, at least in Cuba. However, my armies see service in fictitious wars.
