I have been basing figures on laser cut bases. These figures are mostly metal, with a few plastic ones.
The left-hand figure hard plastic, middle figure is hollow-cast conversions and the righthand is a solid metal home-cast.
Left-hand figure is hollow-cast, middle is solid metal home-cast and right is a conversion of plastic Call-to-arms Zulu War figure (converted by someone else and painted by me).
Two hard plastic figures
The two front figures I painted recently.
Left: repaired hollowcast General Littleton and right: solid metal General Tallier.
Both machine gunners are metal with the one in front being hollowcast.
