Mexican Revolution/Cortezian Federales

I now have 14 Federales in the later style peaked caps. There seem to have been two versions of this, one like the Japanese style with crowns tapering up and another style more like that worn by British troops in WW1. Below are my ones made from the AIP Japanese.

The flag is the fictious one for Army Lime Green, inspired by Funny Little Wars and sold by The Virtual Armchair general. My version of this imagi-nations is Cortezia (on the premise of Mexico being named after Hernando Cortez instead of the Mexica). There is one kneeling figure originally intended as a Japanese who needs some slight repainting. The lower legs have been painted either as khaki canvas leggings or trimmed down and painted as bare legs.

Additional figures are going to have more typical Mexican equipment such as bandoleers and sandals. Some of the bases are not yet complete.

The rest of my Mexican units cover the 1830s (Alamo period), 1840s (Mexican War), 1860s (Mexican Adventure or French intervention) and the Mexican Revolution. Their head gear covers shakoes, sombreros, sun helmets, Stetsons and various civilian items. There was a lot of variation even among the same unit and even in the regular units.
