Bulk 1960s/1970sToy Soldier Buy from Ebay

I saw this mixed lot of old plastic toy soldiers on Ebay and decided it was worth the $60.  Just sorting through them was half the fun.

Below are some assorted incomplete swoppets, mostly Hong Kong but with some Timpo.
Most will go into the spare parts boxes.

Broken 8th Army by Cherilea. These seem particularly prone to breakage. I never had these as a boy, but I like the grenade thrower, even though he is missing hand and grenade. I might repair this one.
A mix of ceremonial British, mostly broken. Some have the rectangle of plastic removed on the bases. I used to know what brand hat signified. Someone might enlighten me.

The bagpiper is an Eyes Right figure, a nice one I didn't already have. The blue skinned figure I'll probably use as a 40K Space ork nob (boss ork) after I give him some weapons. I might place him riding a squig.

Marx hard plastic cowboy
As a child, I didn't have Charbens figures but I really like them. I think I is the somewhat chunky style that appeals. I like that the Germans are in shorts. One thing about them, as with many toy soldiers is they lack equipment.

Charbens paratroopers:

Charbens Afrika Corps.
This is the one metal figure in the lot. It looks like a smaller version of a Timpo horse but has no brand markings.
Blue Box 'undersized' Japanese, I neglected to measure them but I think they are around 40mm. I devote a couple of shelves to figures this size.
Close up of the Charbens Afrika Corps figures. I really like the mine detector even though the helmet shape is a little unusual. The officer is very similar to the Lone Star version.

I already have a lot of crescent cowboys but I did not, previously, have the shot figure. I am tempted to make a casting of him for conversions to various period soldiers as I like the odd wounded figure on the toy battlefield.

I really like the Cherilea cavalry with triangular bases. There is a Union officer, a Mountie and a British cuirassier. Curiously, unlike many other Cherilea these ranges don't seem prone so much to breakage.
There are some more Cherilea 8th Army. The machine gunner has a UN helmet and, like a number of other Cherilea is very animated.
In the middle are some Starlux WW2 Germans, something I did not have in my collection.
In the foreground are some Marxman figures. I always like to pick up the sailors.

The naval officer i did not previously have undamaged; the one I already had was missing the binnoculars and I had rebuilt the hand but not the binoculars.

These cartoon figures are from 1979. I don't know anything about them but would be interested to know what they represent and if they are collectible.
