WW2 GIs, more Mitre Cap Grenadier Conversions, Bogavanian Engineer, Goblin etc.

First up is a resin copy I made of a Timpo metal wounded WW2 GI. I decided to paint him in a historical uniform scheme worn in Europe. There were a number of variations on the U.S uniform. (Other variations included all green uniform or the fawn top and more brownish trousers).

I have made other period wounded figures from this same figure.

More miter cap conversions with, at left an AIP figure for French and Indian War and the other two are converted from the taller BMC figures. The AIP musket is annoyingly bent. I'll try to straighten it in boiling water and then ice but I find this of only limited success. The green Stuff on the left-hand figure needed to be mixed more.

Mexican dragoon for Alamo period, TSSD, if I remember correctly. I might add brown paint for leather reinforcement for the inside legs and cuffs of the trousers.
Here is the rooster mounted goblin with dental floss reins.

This is my resin copy of ElastoWit. It was more medieval in appearance but I added the tricorn and tails to the coat. I intended him as an engineer or wagon loader, bridge builder, etc.

The sword and bayonet scabbard were added from hair clips. The practice of having both sword and bayonet might have been more a grenadier thing. I wonder when they were reduced to just the bayonet. My previous conversions I gave just bayonets to. I need to model sword handles.

Here are the Mexican gunners painted. I am going to add poker chip bases.
Here are some odd metal Egyptians or Turks. The two standing to attention were originally ACW home casts but I gave them fezzes. They are conscripted into the Fezian army.
Here are a couple of old-style metal figures. I added extra equipment to the sailor. I gave them a satin finish.
More old-style metal repaired GI figures
