French Foreign Legion & Nurse

I just finished these three figures whilst watching an SF movie on SBS World Movies. It is #@*&! cold here at my garage workbench but not so bad with the radiator at my feet.

Here are the two Marx brand FFL from my recent Sunday market purchase. As mentioned in an earlier post, I replaced, with wire, the missing barrels of the rifles. I still wasn't happy though, so I added Green Stuff putty cartridge boxes, canteens and haversacks, although one figure I did not add the haversack to. The canteen was not a disc shape but more a kidney shape and I think the real ones had an opening and cap at each end. The bayonet scabbards were cut from a plastic comb and the top ends wedged under the putty haversack or canteen.

Unlike the original khaki color I gave my figures the classic dark blue coats and white trousers. (Trousers were red in Winter issue)
The figure at left actually snapped at the ankle even as I added the equipment but I Super Glued it back in place. I need to add another spot of sand color on the base, between the boots and to finish some paint work on the equipment..
The nurse is an Edwardian one from The Armchair General.
