From 18th Century Grenadiers to Flying Monkeys
First up is my conversion of a Cafe Storm figure. As shown in an earlier post, I added a putty hat and gave him a stick pointer instead of a sword. I perhaps also should have added a plume to the hat. Anyhow, he is to be used as either a French Napoleonic or French Revolution officer or a Bogavanian commander.
I have been gradually adding to my Beefeaters so I pick up any relatively cheap ones. The two figures at left are metal Britains that I had to touch up the paint jobs and also added facial details. The third from left figure is a probable cake decoration and the far-right figure was a key ring figure, but I removed the plastic ring from the top of the hat. These will be added to my other Beefeaters and will be used in my eventual Battle of Nottinghill battle.
The three latest miter cap grenadier conversions have been painted. The figure at left is an Armies in Plastic conversion and the other two are BMC conversions. In a later post I'll show the whole unit.
By the way, the bent musket on the AIP figure
Amphibious shark warrior: This is a conversion from a resin copy I made of an ElastoWit figure.
This is an ongoing conversion of an American Indian into a Gillikin. The right arm was made from wire and putty with the end ground down on the grinding wheel to represent a sword.
Flying monkey made from a cheapo monkey with Yowie bat wings and putty fez and arrow quiver. I haven't yet given him a bow.
