North Kensington Troops and Scott Wayne of Nottinghill
Here are some more conversions specially made for the pending 'Napoleon of Nottinghill' game. They are made from cheapo medieval figures. My aim was the bizarre twist of combining some Edwardian headgear with Renaissance clothes. I did not want them to have full armor so painted the legs as hosiery.
There are two top-hats, one of them bronze/gold and this figure will probably represent the provost of North Kensington. His head came from an accurate ACW officer with crown built up with putty. The figure with black top-hat has a Historex Napoleonic head. The double-headed eagle is the fictional symbol of North Kensington.
The blacktop head figure has the original weapon, although the head of it is oversized. The bonze hatted figure has a sword made from a split-pin.
The bowler hat, as indicated in an earlier post, comes from a poorly executed representation of a WW2 British helmet. The war-hammer is a Britains one.
The figure at left has an Airfix 8th Army head.
Some shields have 'NK' for North Kensington.
Scott Wayne with red lion shield. A red lion is the symbol of Nottinghill. A rampant lion would probably have been better, but the head was easier to do. I might do some more work on the lion's eyes. Wayne's head is a Historex Napoleonic one.
