Repaired Sunday Market Figures, Conversions & Flocking
As a size comparison I show the Timpo GI, who also had his face partially repainted as I was not happy with it before. The FFL figures are taller, about 60mm scale.
Flocking: The goblin on rooster has his base flocked.
Capetown hussars, Airfix GI, Bogavanian engineer, and home casting of Britains Chinese soldier have had their bases flocked.
Years ago, I decapitated an AIP WW1 British officer. I wanted the head for something I forget. Anyhow, I experimented with some replacement heads. I had some Artifact Miniatures heads that the owner, Alan Black, kindly gave to me ages ago. (If you are reading this, Alan, drop me a line). Anyway this was a head from his US cavalry series. I don't know if American officers used whistles or not but this one now has one. I'll use him in my late 19th to early 20th century Americans (or Amerigans in my imaginary world).
Here are the three Marx figures (correct me if I am wrong, as I am uncertain about the Nativity figures. The repairs were a nose for the Arab and the rifle ends replaced on the FFL. I had some wire just the right thickness. The plastic on these is somewhat brittle so I had to proceed with caution. The rifle remnants were carefully levelled off with a knife and holes drilled to receive the wire. The Arab is going to have ostentatious attire, and he might well be the Fezian Treasurer!
